In Belgium, we send letters. Every year though, the market for postal letters decreases by about 5%. Post offices close. Mail boxes disappear. During Hack Belgium we have created an app to help you find the nearest letterbox that is still collected today.
Democracy’s Roots relies on the comparison of polls using an application to make them easy to access and quick to respond. After answering the questions, an user can compare his or her answers to those of the average respondents, those of the different political parties or those of the state.

We’ll start by organizing discovery camp events outside of schools, creating a safe environment for learning by doing, both for students and teachers. These events would help raise money to finance partnerships with schools as well as a moving discovery lab (whether in a truck or on a boat,) able to move from city to city.

The goal of the lunchroom is to provide transparency and sensibilization to consumers. The lunch room will optimize the use of local natural resources, reduce and reuse all waste, and implement a circular vision on all aspects (e.g., material, appliances).
LABRIQ is a modular “plug and play” laboratory. This project is considered an application on the “lab-on-a-chip” technology, which is a scaled down laboratory by definition. Instead of fully scaling down and automating a laboratory process onto a chip, LABRIQ is a concept where common lab units are scaled down to fit the palm of your hand.
The goal is to start a non-profit association, that offers companies the possibility to have their own personalized arcade cabinet and raise money for a charity they choose.
The Shrinter is a mobile 3-D printer van unit equipped with printers, teachers and materials that can move from community to community or to schools, teaching making skills to children and community members.
Our platform aims to build / strengthen the link between investigative journalists and citizens. Journalists (either independent or belonging to a publisher already) pitch their ideas via the platform and citizens give a contribution towards the stories they are interested to read / view.
We enable the drone activity to our daily life, by plugin drones onto trucks. With that innovation, trucks do not have to enter in remote cities anymore, that’s a drone job. But like drones cannot travel faraway, they will use trucks to cross the country, the continent, the world!

A digital ecosystem for public transportation. What if we could tell our phone to take us to where we want to be and have everything taken care of? Passenger would give us a multimodal route to our destination with a single payment or subscription fee.
Focusing on the North Sea, the project will not just cultivate one species but create a whole ecosystem, starting with algae and seaweed (the renewable energy sources could be used for extra light and heat) and ultimately resulting in the breeding of fish for human consumption.
